Five Guys Bag

16x20
oil on canvas

Bottle, American Heritage Dictionary, Five Guys Burgers and Fries bag with receipt attached, no less, and a thingamajig called a mate in the foreground (I was told it's pronounced "mahtay") used for making tea, common in South America which is where this one came from.

I gotta say my favorite part of this piece is the Five Guys Bag. Lot of opportunity there to play with light, shadow and surface texture

Game Night

Larger than what I normally do for sure but, I had so much fun with it I've started working on an even larger version of this one. No hurries, no worries.

Once Upon a Meadow

Like Edward Hopper the long shadowed portions of the day are most appealing to me. I would say I had a blast doing this painting, but I have a blast doing most every painting.

School Days

The teacher is teachin' the Golden Rule
American history and practical math
You're studying' hard and hoping' to pass
Working' your fingers right down to the bone
And the guy behind you won't leave you alone
